I have very little Computer Science experience, so I'm doing it much off the cuff.Jasminehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14163491309269691356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2623157765480006631.post-75204051773896964942013-11-09T18:54:58.110-08:002013-11-09T18:54:58.110-08:00Wow - I love this project.

For example, the use inputs equations of two lines ( or values for m and b) and the computer outputs the intersection point (if any).

But I never thought of getting my MATH students to write PROGRAMS ! I love it.robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00465970963689937658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2623157765480006631.post-18475968044950325982013-11-03T17:18:35.316-08:002013-11-03T17:18:35.316-08:00Thanks for the comment! Let me know if you end up trying it out.Jasminehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14163491309269691356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2623157765480006631.post-87826963435309061252013-11-01T08:51:15.645-07:002013-11-01T08:51:15.645-07:00I love technology, and I am pretty good with it, b...I love technology, and I am pretty good with it, but I think this would have blown my mind (in a good way) as a student. We don't work with the TI-83 in the grades that I work with, but I remember using them as a student in high school, and in my grad school classes. I think that this activity is challenging but so much fun, especially for kiddos these days who are so into technology and it comes to them as a second nature!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2623157765480006631.post-79620645656327511972013-10-27T11:13:23.327-07:002013-10-27T11:13:23.327-07:00So glad you found it helpful! Single or systems?Jasminehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14163491309269691356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2623157765480006631.post-77939239683531455992013-10-27T10:28:07.506-07:002013-10-27T10:28:07.506-07:00Brilliant! I pretty much had to hold their hands the entire time. I think if I was to do it over again, I'd give them a bit more time and some printed directions similar to yours above. Thanks for sharing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
